With a population of “about a hundred people—if we can count them before they roll away again,” as Mayor Kevin Thompson likes to joke, Rollhampton is a one-of-a-kind place where rolling isn’t just a pastime… it’s a way of life.

The Founder of Rollhampton

The town owes its quirky beginnings to Barrel Jack Rollerman – a man who firmly believed that everything in life should be achieved effortlessly… with a little spin. After years of rolling down the slopes, he developed his personal philosophy:
“Why walk when you can roll?”

From that day on, rolling became the heartbeat of Rollhampton. It found its way into daily routines, sports, and even politics—where campaign promises roll smoothly from year to year.
